This month marks an important milestone for our dealership. Boulder Nissan is celebrating 25 years serving drivers across Boulder and the Front Range.

What began as a small dealership in 2001 has grown into one of the most recognized Nissan stores in the region. Over the past two and a half decades we have seen the automotive industry evolve dramatically. Technology has changed. Vehicles have changed. The way people shop for cars has changed.

What has not changed is the foundation Boulder Nissan was built on, a commitment to honest business, transparent pricing, and long term relationships with the community we serve.

Boulder Nissan opened its doors in 2001 under the leadership of Jason Purdum, with a simple idea. Create a dealership experience that customers could trust.

From the beginning, the focus was on doing business the right way, emphasizing transparency, customer service, and long-term relationships with the people and families who make up the Boulder community.

Over the years, thousands of customers from Boulder, Longmont, Denver, and across Colorado have purchased vehicles here, returned for service, and referred friends and family.
That trust from the community is the reason we are celebrating 25 years today.

A lot has changed since 2001.
When Boulder Nissan first opened, drivers were shopping vehicles like the 2001 Nissan Pathfinder, the Nissan Frontier, and the early generations of the Nissan Altima and Sentra.

Today the lineup has evolved with new technology, advanced safety systems, and modern powertrains. Vehicles like the 2026 Nissan Pathfinder, Nissan Rogue, and the all electric Nissan LEAF represent how far the brand has come.

One of the most interesting parts of this anniversary is seeing that evolution firsthand.
Some of the same team members who were helping customers find the perfect Pathfinder in the late 90s/early 2000s are still here today helping customers explore the newest Nissan models.

That kind of continuity is rare in the automotive industry, and it speaks to the culture that has been built here over the past 25 years.

Dealerships often see a lot of turnover, but Boulder Nissan has been fortunate to have many long time team members who have built their careers here.

Some members of our staff remember the earliest days of the dealership, when inventory looked very different and the showroom operated in a very different world, long before online shopping and digital vehicle research became the norm.

Today those same team members are guiding customers through modern technology like driver assistance systems, digital dashboards, electric vehicles, and connected services.

Having team members who have spent decades with the dealership is rare in the automotive industry. Their experience and commitment have helped shape the culture that Boulder Nissan is known for today.

Another major shift over the past 25 years has been the rise of electric vehicles. 

 

Nissan has been a leader in this space for more than a decade, beginning with the Nissan LEAF, one of the first mass market electric vehicles available in the United States.

Boulder Nissan has proudly been part of that transition. In fact, the dealership has become one of the leading Nissan LEAF retailers in the country, helping introduce thousands of drivers to electric driving.

Today, vehicles like the all-new Nissan LEAF continue to push that innovation forward.

Reaching 25 years would not be possible without the support of our customers and the Boulder community.

Many of the people who purchased vehicles from us years ago have returned again and again for their next car. Some families have bought multiple vehicles from Boulder Nissan over the years.
That kind of loyalty is something we never take for granted.
